GamerStats pulls a player's identity across Steam, Riot, and Battle.net into one cross-platform profile, then lets you ask an AI questions about it in plain language. Full-stack, designed and built end to end, with a real LLM feature shipped behind real billing.

the key decision

Three platforms, three completely different data shapes, one profile: the hard part wasn't fetching the stats, it was designing a single system that makes Steam, Riot, and Battle.net read as one coherent player.

the problem, the decisions, the craft
01

The problem

A player's stats are scattered across every platform they touch, in formats that don't line up. GamerStats pulls Steam, Riot Games, and Battle.net into one cross-platform profile report that reads as a single player, not three disconnected dashboards.

02

From stats to a story

Instead of dumping tables, an AI chat lets you ask questions about any player's profile and get plain-language answers, with side-by-side player comparisons and shareable public profiles.

03

Considered interactions

A unified selector where platform and sub-filter pills slide between states, stats that count up on reveal, and SVG progress rings that draw themselves on scroll. Even the small stuff has personality (the BETA badge by the logo tilts up with a springy overshoot on hover, and buttons press in when tapped), so a dense stats page feels alive instead of like a spreadsheet.

the engineering, explained

Ask how it was built

Tap a decision and the assistant walks through it, answering only from the real build.

the outcome

The result is one place a player links three identities and gets a profile they can actually read, compare, and share, with an AI chat that answers questions in plain language instead of handing over tables. It ships as a full product: multi-provider OAuth, a real Claude-powered feature, and Stripe billing with usage tiers, all in production.
